Hello Team Members:

We are need­ing a count on all the peo­ple that are going to par­t­i­ca­p­ate in the Smokey Moun­tain Regional(2/29–30/13). We need you to make sure and fill out the reg­is­tra­tion forms for the event.

The Ven­tra Plas­tics Plant Tour went very well. Thank you Ron and Justin for show­ing us your plant! You really know how to to make injected molded plas­tics! It was very inter­est­ing as a group to go in there and see how some parts are made! As a Robot­ics Team it is great to take a tour that shows how Robots have really changed the world and how they make lives eas­ier in a wide spec­trum. I hope Ron and Justin let us have another tour again!

For those of you who fol­low the team through this site our kick­off meet­ing will begin at CCHS at 6:00 p.m. Sat­ur­day night (1–5-13)  Every­one is excited and ready to get started.  The momen­tum is high and I encour­age you to stop in and lis­ten to our reac­tion to this season’s game.  We will be meet­ing again Mon­day right after school till 8 Mon­day night.  We will order out food for that night.  Go Robo Racers!!!!

Robot­ics Team  Participants:

We will be hav­ing a reg­u­lar team meet­ing Thurs­day of this week. (11–1-2012).  This meet­ing is to allow stu­dents addi­tional time to work on their mod­els for the Vehi­cle Design Com­pe­ti­tion on Novem­ber 10^th.  We will also have stu­dents who will be work­ing on the swerve drive pro­to­type robot.   The meet­ing will begin at 6:30 and end at 8:30.  The pro­gram­ming team will not meet to work on pro­gram­ming Thurs­day. They will resume pro­gram­ming meet­ings next week.  I hope you can make it.

We will have open lab time this week after school from 3:06 till 4:25 each day for teams to work on entries for the event.  Remem­ber that the event is on the 10^th of Novem­ber just under 3 weeks away.  Thurs­day night there will be an evening meet­ing time from 6:30 till 8:30.  We will have sim­u­lar meet­ing times next week.  Please con­tact me to con­firm if you plan on work­ing.  Thanks!  J. The Tues­day night meet­ing is for all MCRT 3843 FIRST robot­ics team mem­bers and new robot­ics team mem­bers.  This is our first meet­ing in prepa­ra­tion of the 2013 FRC season. All mem­bers from last sea­son and new mem­bers are encour­aged to attend.  The meet­ing will take place at 6:30 in room 408 at Cal­loway County High School.  Room 408 is just inside the entrance on the north­west cor­ner of the build­ing.  Par­ents are invited to attend.  Some­one will greet you at that entrance.

The Agenda Includes: An intro­duc­tion and ori­en­ta­tion to FIRST robot­ics for new team mem­bers, progress on our wild swerve pro­to­type robot, intro­duc­tion to our Novem­ber 10 com­pe­ti­tion at Mur­ray State Uni­ver­sity.  The meet­ing will end around 8:30.
